Jeff Comfort

Vice President, Principal Gifts and Gift Planning

Jeff Comfort has served as vice president of principal gifts and gift planning since January 2013. He provides strategic leadership to the OSU Foundation's gift planning program and oversees the staff that assists donors in making deferred, assets-based or complex gifts to the university. Mr. Comfort came to OSU following a distinguished 18-year career at Georgetown University. Before arriving at Georgetown in 1995, he spent 11 years in Denver directing the gift planning program for the National Jewish Medical and Research Center.

Mr. Comfort has co-chaired the annual CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education) conference of planned giving. He also serves on the editorial advisory board of Planned Giving Today, the professional newsletter for gift planners. Among other service roles, he was a member of the National Committee on Planned Giving (now the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning) board of directors and chaired its 10th National Conference on Planned Giving.

Mr. Comfort earned his bachelor's degree in nonprofit development administration from Metropolitan State College of Denver.
