Dave Chin, ’80
Business coach and owner of BusinessCoach of Oregon, Chin's passion is to help fellow business owners grow their businesses and achieve their personal goals through it. He builds leaders of leaders through workshops and coaches in both group and individual settings. In the corporate world, he helped Intel grow for over 20 years with contributions in engineering, manufacturing, finance, sales and marketing. Dave recently completed service on the Oregon State Alumni Association Board of Directors, past president of the Oregon State University Business Roundtable and a former chair of the Beaverton Chamber Business Matters.
Sydney Forbes, ’17
From Bend, Oregon, Forbes is the Co-founder and CEO of Tonsil Tech and is creating a new category in the oral care industry. Prior to starting her own business, Forbes was employed as a technical partner at Carbon in the Bay area. At OSU, Forbes was a part of the Advantage Accelerator Program, an undergraduate teaching assistant, and a Johnson Fellow at Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU).
Kate Porsche serves as the Corvallis/Benton County economic development manager working to help businesses in the area prosper. She brings a passion for revitalizing communities and working to create strong downtowns. She is the past president of the Oregon Economic Development Association, a native Oregonian and die-hard Beaver, having completed her bachelor’s and then master’s degree in Public Policy at Oregon State.
As vice president of Cresa Portland, Whitten works with companies and tenants of commercial real estate throughout Portland and the west coast. Whitten, along with his colleagues at Cresa, assists companies to understand their immediate and long term real estate needs and work to align them with the ever changing workplace desires of specific companies.
