Nambiar Family Faculty Scholar
Prabu Nambiar, Ph.D. ’88, and his family established the Nambiar Family Faculty Scholar Endowment Fund in 2024 to support teaching excellence in the Department of Chemistry.
Nambiar is the founder, principal and former CEO of Syner-G BioPharma Group, a Boston-based company that provides consulting for the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry.
After receiving his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Madras in India, Nambiar came to Oregon State University to pursue a doctorate degree in organic chemistry. He completed his post-doctoral training at Brown University and started his pharmaceutical career at Bristol-Myers Squibb in 1991. Later, he received an MBA from Boston University.
Nambiar is a member of the College of Science Board of Advisors and was elected as a Fellow of the Regulatory Affairs Professional Society. A longstanding College of Science donor, Nambiar lives with his family in Massachusetts.
