Scott and Loni Parrish Chair in the College of Business

May 25, 2022

In 2022, Loni Austin Parrish, ’81, and Scott N. Parrish, ’81 established the Scott and Loni Parrish Chair: the college’s first endowed chair. The Parrishes are generous supporters of the College of Business, including the construction of Austin Hall.

After graduating from OSU in business administration and visual arts, respectively, Scott and Loni Parrish returned to Loni’s home community of Newberg. Scott joined A-dec, the dental equipment manufacturer founded by Loni’s parents, Ken, ’53, and Joan Austin. He served as its president and CEO from 2007 until retiring from his CEO role in 2023; the company remains a global industry leader. Loni is active in many areas related to business, civic life, philanthropy and art education. She founded Chehalem Cultural Center and established LLP Properties, which has been instrumental in restoring Newberg’s downtown and renovating many of its historic buildings. She is the owner of ART Elements Gallery and curated more than 500 original art pieces from Oregon artists for the Austin family’s Allison Inn and Spa.
