Jack and Virginia Wilborn Endowed Professor in Business

In 2024, Jack Wilborn, ’69, and Virginia Wilborn, ’72, planned a legacy gift that will establish an endowed faculty position in the College of Business.

The Wilborns are among Oregon State University’s philanthropic leaders who are dedicated to both academic and athletic success. In addition to their service on the College of Business Campaign Cabinet, among other volunteer roles, they generously supported the construction of Austin Hall as well as the Valley Football Center.

Before retiring, Jack worked in public accounting for more than 35 years. He was managing partner of KPMG’s Portland office (and previously Arthur Andersen) and received the 2006 Distinguished Professional Award from the College of Business. Ginny was a director of pharmacy for Kaiser Permanente.

“I learned that giving inspired me to do better — to be more successful and able to give more,” says Jack.
