Mighty Beavers: Alumni Employees of OSU
Alumni employees have demonstrated their deep commitment to the university community by choosing to work and learn at OSU. Also known as the Mighty Beavers, OSU’s network of alumni employees aims to foster community amongst more than 2,000 colleagues to celebrate achievements and provide opportunities to build connections amongst these special Beavers.
Mighty impact:
- Over 520 Mighty Beavers have volunteered in support of OSU
- More than 50% have made a gift in their lifetime as proud members of OSU Loyal, OSU’s employee giving circle
- Mighty Beavers represented 30% of employee donors on Dam Proud Day 2024
- About 40 households have Mighty Beavers spouses
- Degree years range from 1951 to present with Mighty Beavers from every college

- Mark your calendar for Dam Proud Day on April 30! This annual day of giving is a chance to advocate for and support the causes that matter most to you.
- Join us for OSU Days of Service in May. Roll up your sleeves and make a difference with fellow Beavers in your community. Learn more.
- Join OSU Connections, the online hub for Beavers to grow their personal and professional networks while uplifting each other’s careers.
- Volunteer as a legislative advocate through the Beaver Caucus to communicate directly to Oregon state policymakers about issues affecting OSU’s future.

Thank you to those of you who were able to join us in the CH2M HILL Alumni Center for the inaugural Mighty Beavers Mixer.
“With over 2,000 alumni employees, the Mighty Beavers represent the ultimate OSU culture carriers – individuals who live and breathe Beaver pride every day,” Shawn L. Scoville, president and CEO of the OSU Foundation, said at the event. “This group was created to foster community, celebrate their achievements and provide opportunities to support OSU through philanthropy and volunteerism.”
