Gordon Galbraith Endowed Faculty Scholar in Agricultural Education
Gordon “Bud” Galbraith, ’59, M.S. ’66, will always be remembered for his lifetime of contributions and leadership with the Oregon FFA. An active FFA member in his own high school years, he briefly taught high school vocational agriculture before working for the Oregon Department of Education in agricultural education, serving as advisor for the state FFA organization. He mentored hundreds of state FFA officers, and impacted thousands of agricultural students and educators for decades. During retirement he served on the Oregon FFA Foundation board. He passed away in 2019.

To honor Galbraith and all he did for Oregon FFA and Oregon agricultural education, Thomas T. Nakano, ’89, and Carol J. Magness, ’92, MBA ’95, have generously established the Gordon Galbraith Endowed Faculty Scholar in Agricultural Education, which will benefit future generations of agricultural educators in the College of Agricultural Sciences.
