Volunteer as a Game Watch Party Captain

As we get pumped up for an exciting new era of football with the Pac-12 realignment, we invite you to become a 2026 Beaver Game Watch Party Captain.

Being a captain is an easy and rewarding way to volunteer and support OSU. There's no elaborate planning or hosting required. You'll simply watch the game you were already planning to enjoy with the company of fellow Beavers. We’ll take care of the promotion and support you along the way.

Why become a Game Watch Party Captain?

  • Build the Beaver community where you live.
  • Help alumni, families, students and fans connect.
  • Welcome new graduates and fellow Beavers to your local network.
  • Keep Beaver traditions thriving beyond Corvallis.
  • Receive recognition from the OSU Alumni Association and a special thank-you gift for your support.

Whether you host one game or every game, your efforts help create meaningful connections for Beaver fans across the country. View the OSU Football schedule.

Be known by Oregon Staters!

Is your bar or restaurant a great place for Beavers to gather and watch the game?

Would you like to become known as the Oregon State game watch location in your area? Could a predictable, weekly group of Beaver fans, help your bottom line?

The Oregon State University Alumni Association is looking for fun environments to promote as Beaver friendly sites to watch the game, in accordance with local pandemic health guidelines, in cities across the country.

A Beaver-friendly location is a place that has agreed to show the game and have audio on when possible. If you walk into a location and do not see the game on, just ask one of the servers and they will be happy to help.

Beaver Game Watch Party - Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Beaver Game Watch Party?

A Beaver Game Watch Party is a gathering of Oregon State alumni, friends and fans who come together to cheer on the Beavers during all football games. Whether it's at a local restaurant, sports bar or brewery, game watches are a fun way to stay connected to Oregon State — no matter where you live.

Who can attend?

Everyone is welcome! Alumni, family members, friends, students and Beaver fans of all ages are encouraged to join us. (Note: not all locations are family-friendly – please ensure this is clear when reserving a space.)

What is a Game Watch Captain?

A Game Watch Captain is the local volunteer who helps bring fellow Beavers together. Think of yourself as the friendly face who welcomes guests, helps everyone connect and serves as the local point of contact.

You don't have to plan a formal event or entertain the group — you simply help create a welcoming place for Beaver fans to gather.

What are my responsibilities?

We'll make it easy! As a Game Watch Captain, you'll:

  • Select or work with a Beaver-friendly venue.
  • Arrive a little early to welcome attendees.

How much time does it take?

Very little. Most captains simply attend the game they were already planning to watch, greet fellow Beavers and enjoy the game together.

Do I have to host every game?

No. You can host one game, a few or all – it’s completely up to you.

Will the OSU Alumni Association help?

Absolutely! We'll promote your game watch on our website and via email communications, provide digital graphics and marketing support, and be available if you have questions throughout the season.
