IMPACT for Life Faculty Scholar
Kathryn and Doug Collins first became acquainted with the IMPACT program in the College of Public Health and Human Sciences when their son, Jeff, was 10 years old. During the 10 years he participated in the program, he gained so much from the one-on-one physical activity program and socialization opportunities that, as a young adult, he came back as a volunteer, helping kids with developmental disabilities develop skills for school, play, and home in a joyful, non-therapeutic environment.
To help provide opportunities for many other youth and help OSU students have life-changing learning experiences through IMPACT, the Collins family made a gift commitment in 2012 that created the first endowed faculty position for the program.
