About the speaker:
Andrew Meigs, professor emeritus of the College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences, focused his career on earthquakes and mountain building. He played a central role in writing the grant that funded the Cascadia Region Earthquake Center. As a researcher and educator, he enjoyed teaching an introductory field geology class and continues to share his interest in geology.
