OSU Foundation - Leonard Aplet

Leonard Aplet, who recently retired, was the senior portfolio manager and head of short duration and stable value at Columbia Management Investment Advisers LLC, an investment firm in Portland, Oregon. He joined the firm in 1987 and has been a member of the investment community since 1976. Prior to joining Columbia Management, Mr. Aplet spent nine years in real estate loan origination and portfolio management.

He joined the OSU Foundation board in July 2016 and serves on the Finance Committee and is the current Chair of the Investment Committee. Mr. Aplet is also a member of the College of Business Dean’s Circle of Excellence, College of Business Finance Circle, College of Public Health and Human Sciences Community Advisory Council, and is a trustee emeritus of the Oregon 4-H Foundation Board. While a student, Mr. Aplet participated in music/choir, and was a member of Phi Kappa Phi, the Blue Key, and Alpha Zeta honoraries.

Mr. Aplet graduated from Oregon State University in 1976 with a B.S. in horticulture and earned his M.B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley in 1987.
