Ms. Bedient retired in 2016 as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Weyerhaeuser Company after 13 years in leadership roles. She previously was with Arthur Andersen LLP for 27 years and served as the managing partner of the Seattle office.

Patricia M. Bedient

Ms. Bedient is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Washington Society of CPAs. She is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors as well as Women Corporate Directors. She chairs the board of directors for Alaska Air Group. She also serves on boards for Suncor Energy and Park Hotels and Resorts. She is a past chair of Overlake Hospital Medical Center. 
 

In 2012, Ms. Bedient achieved national recognition when Wall Street Journal named her one of the Top 25 CFOs in the country. Puget Sound Business Journal named her Director of the Year (2019) and CFO of the Year (2011), and honored her among its Women of Influence (2012).

Ms. Bedient attended Oregon State University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting and finance. She is a past member of the university’s board of trustees.
